Also, I do not agree that government is at the mercy of the corporation. It is at the mercy of the voters. If you believe corporations control the government, I suggest you vote new people in Congress. Further, re human rights? is that the right to be human?; if you have read and understand the US Constitution, you would know that the only lawful rights US citizens have are those grounded in the Constitution, which can be asserted by an individual at will, which can be guaranteed by government, and which are equally available to all citizens. So, health care is not a “right”. Nor would it be moral to force some people to pay for someone else’s healthcare.

We have been living on borrowed money for way too long. 1/3 of our taxes go to interest on the debt. It’s time we actually pay as we go and then we will see how much the people of USA are willing to spend. Most people want less government yet also want entitlements. Liberals want utopia yet live in unfair world.
If government runs the health care like they run the post office, social security, Medicare, Amtrak, education, etc., it will be another screwed up broke paper hungry bureaucracy.

My friends brother died at 45 yrs old last week in Canada waiting for heart surgery; My mother died waiting for diagnose and treatment; In Canada a GP can`t order a MRI through our system, only a specialist can, and many WON`T; when your sick in Canada you will probably die waiting for diagnose and treatment; Canada is really good at taking your tax dollars and giving you nothing in return, BEWARE AMERICANS, you guess why your legislature leaders are not going to have to be part of the system..

I’m a canadian who has been bankrupted by the canadian health system; Due to suffering significant injury and having workers comp administer my injury claim, i was purposely denied diagnostic tests and returned to work driving a semi-truck all gooned out on morphine and oxycontin/ baclofen with multiple injuries not accepted by insurance corporation; 3 years to get 1st mri, denied requested surgery;
28 doctors to diagnose spinal injury 2 years; 5 years to diagnose 2nd spinal injury denied help;
