Many people are constantly looking for discount health care plan, and there are some companies out there that will be able to provide this. These medical health plans, although not the same as insurance, are in place to offer a discounts on such things as visits to your local physician, dental work, hospital visits, prescription drugs and many other medical needs. Best of all, it’s all available for a low monthly fee. These plans are perfect for people who are healthcare uninsured, as they offer a way to save on expensive but necessary medical work without the large cost of insurance. A vast number of people in today’s market place are looking for a way to make those much needed medical procedures affordable, and the ideal way to do this is to invest in one of the fantastic medical health plans that are available.

And believe me, a health plan will save you more money than if you paid for your expenses completely out of pocket. In fact, one of the main reasons people choose a health discount plan over insurance is because of the price. Where with insurance you might pay 0 a month for good health care, you could be paying a fraction of that with discount health care and receive the same quality service!

Also, some people simply cannot get regular health insurance. This can happen for a variety of reasons. For example, people that work from home have a really hard time getting regular insurance, so instead they choose to get a discount medical plan. It’s always better to be covered! Additionally, people with preexisting conditions are often rejected by insurers, but many medical health plans have policies to accept everyone regardless of their medical status. Many companies don’t even consider citizenship status when looking at potential clients.

Of course, it is advisable to be extremely diligent when looking for a cheap health plan. There are a large number of companies out there that offer many different varieties of discount health care plans. Some of these companies are geared towards a particular set of medical expenses, so you need to make sure that you find the perfect combination for you. Other companies will offer a little bit of everything: vision, dental, hearing, prescriptions, ER visits, etc. Just make sure the plan really offers what you need! Be sure to read the small print of the health discount plan that you are purchasing to ensure that it offers discounts on the medical products and services that you require.

Additionally, a lot of these companies will work with doctors in your area, but this is not universally true. To confirm that your plan has local support, check out a company’s website or call and ask for a list of doctors and clinics. Do this before you sign up. After all, you don’t want to be wasting hours and gas driving to a dentist in the middle of nowhere.

Dear All — I’m a first year medical student in Boston. Every day, I’m learning important topics on medicine and health. But too often, the things I’m learning about never reach the public. I wanted to try an experiment — sharing what I am learning on youtube, with the sole purpose of trying to get more important health information to you all. Unlike some of the other health videos out there, mine are not about promoting a book, a diet, a pill, an agenda. I hope to explore your questions on health and medicine with you — please, please, (please!) e-mail me any questions and I will try my best to answer them by asking my professors and/or by citing credibles sources (JAMA, New England Journal of Medicine, etc…) my blog is: www.bostonmedicalstudent.wordpress.com e-mail: unitedstatesmedicalstudent@gmail.com I hope this experiment works — and if it fails, I hope someone sees these videos, says, “hmmm, these are bad videos, but I love the idea,” and decides to go for it. Thank you for your time! ______ PS I wanted to point out something important: I’m just a medical student, so my posts are hopefully conversation starters, but only conversation starters — not medical advice. If my posts intrigue you, please read more about the topic and discuss about it with your doctor. I’d be happy to send you the information in the journal articles I talk about. Also, the opinions expressed in this post are not necessarily those of Harvard Medical School, its affiliated institutions

Zut! I just wasted 3:18 mins watching your video! I don’t really care that you are a med student IN THE US of A. You make it sound like only a med student in the US had credibility. Anyways, your video is a bunch of ramblings. No offense!

not sure if this is the right approach to making a channel like this on youtube. perhaps you can focus more on your medical school experience rather than on things that you might not be an expert on just yet…

I’m sorry to say this but these videos seem a bit arrogant. I think that disseminating health information as an M1 is a bit premature. As your training continues you will realize that those nice little packets of knowledge that you get your first year are just the tip of the iceberg!

It might have something to do with your tonsils. Go consult a respiratory specialist for medical advice.

Hi, I’m sorry to hear about your anxiety. Unfortunately, I don’t have any expert advice on this topic. I understand how it must be very frustrating though. Will you be able to see a doctor?
