the vocals are supposed to be the complete opposite to all the other sounds, so if they did use more abrasive vocals theyd just be a fairly average noise rock band

It might come off a little pretentious but Health are more than just some hipster-kid outfit who own expensive gear. Whether you like the sound or not, there’s obviously heart in their performance and that’s a lot more than many other bands can offer.
Didn’t mind them until I actually went and saw them live and realised what a fake load of crap it was. The £8 I wasted on a ticket has left a gap that I’ve filled up with spite – seemed like the sensible thing to do. Forgot to mention that the drummers shit too.

Or maybe I could just listen to their music, enjoy and appreciate them for their creativity and aesthetic merit instead of watching youtube videos of bands I don’t like and criticizing them out of spite.
