Bystolic
Bystolic (Nebivolol) is a highly cardio-selective vasodilator beta-receptor blocker used for treating hypertensions. This medication helps in lowering the blood pressure by reducing the peripherals vascular resistances and expressively rise of stroke volume provide protection to cardiac output. It works by affecting the circulation of blood from the arteries and veins. This medication helps in maintain its action by managing the depressant effects of beta blockade and cardiac output. This medication has fewer side effects as compared to other medication. This medication should be used by maintaining diet and exercise regularly for effective results. The patient should go for medical checkup regularly in order to see the blood pressure.
How should I take this medication?
This medication should be taken exactly as it is prescribed by the doctor. Do not skip the medicine even if missed take it immediately and if it is time for the next medicine take it at the regular time, but do not take two medicine at a time. Do not expose Bystolic medication in heat, light and moisture always keep in dry and cool place. The patient should check the direction give in the label of the medication. Your doctor might also need to change the dosage and frequency based on how the drug response to the body. Bystolic 5 mg medication can be taken with food or without food.
What are the possible side effects of using this drug?
Some of the side effects of Bystolic are breathing problem, swelling ankle or feet, increase or decrease of heart beat rate, numb feeling and coldness of hand or feet. This medication may induce head-ache, tiredness, nausea disorder, stomach problem, diarrhea disorder and sleeping disorder. Beside this this medication may also cause allergic reaction such as like hives, breathlessness, swelling on face, lips, tongue, and throat. It may make the mouth go dry, induce drowsiness and light headedness. Patient may feel weak, irritable and experience muscle pain. As it makes the skin more sensitive, the patient easily gets bruised, blisters and peeling of skin rash. In extreme cases it may also lead to hearing loss, loss of appetite, uncommon stools and jaundice.
What precautions do I need to follow while using Bystolic?
Patients allergic to Bystolic generic medication should not take Bystolic medication or if you have severe lever or heart block and sinus syndrome. Patient who is suffering from asthma, bronchitis emphysema, thyroid problem, circulatory disorder adrenal gland tumor or recent symptoms of heart attack should consult the doctor before using this medication as there is a need of adjustment in the dosage. Women are pregnant planning to get pregnant or nursing mother should consult the doctor as it is not known whether or not it harm the fetus or pass into the breast milk.
